Help Us Upgrade My 89-Year-Old Mother's Journey of Life — And Spread Encouragement Along the Way
Life has dealt our family some incredibly difficult blows lately — from a sudden job loss and major car repairs to a home air conditioning breakdown and the looming threat of foreclosure.
And now, in May 2025, our beloved 89-year-old mother has been diagnosed with Stage 3 kidney disease.
Despite all this, we are holding onto hope, faith, and purpose. We refuse to let despair write the final chapter of our story.
Meet My Mother — A True Inspiration
For the past 35 years, my mother has been teaching piano and organ at her music studio in Orange City, Florida. At 89, she still teaches five days a week — inspiring nearly 40 students each week with her music, her wisdom, and her gentle spirit.
Her resilience, her love of life, and her dedication to her students is truly remarkable. And now, it's our turn to care for her in return.
Our Mission: Hope & Help Through Creativity
We’re launching something special:
An online shop filled with uplifting products — mugs, t-shirts, candles, and digital courses focused on self-help and holistic wellness. Each item is lovingly designed to inspire encouragement and faith.
As an artist, creating inspirational pieces has always been my calling. Now, I’m channeling that passion into something that not only lifts others up — but helps sustain my mother’s health journey and keep a roof over our heads.

LAURA DOWNS AT HER MUSIC STUDIO
Laura Downs has built a lasting legacy of passion and generosity, continuing to pour into others through the gift of music — even as she faces serious health challenges.
At 89 years old, she refuses to let her condition keep her from doing what she loves most: teaching piano and organ at her beloved music studio.
Each weekday, Laura follows a devoted routine — taking a 30-minute drive with her daughter from Maitland to Orange City, Florida, where she teaches her students with the same care and enthusiasm she’s had for decades. At the end of her teaching day, her daughter picks her up and brings her back home for dinner or errands.
One of her favorite weekly traditions is “party time” on Fridays — a special visit to the Dollar Store with her daughter. Though her mobility is limited, Laura lights up when shopping for candies, treats, stickers, and small surprises to delight her students and decorate her studio.
Her weeks are also filled with moments of joy and connection. Every Sunday, she attends church and enjoys lunch with close friends and church members — one of her favorite highlights of the week.
A lifelong learner at heart, Laura reads two to three books every week and is a familiar face at the Orange City Library, where she regularly checks out a stack of 4–6 books every two weeks.
